About Me

A couple of months back a good friend of mine said to me, “Have you ever thought about starting a blog?” The question didn’t reside in my head fully in that moment but after some time I asked myself, “What would I talk about? Would people be interested in what I have to say?” There are millions of bloggers wanting to tell their story and how you can be like them if you follow steps 1, 2, and 3. I don’t think my goals align with theirs. I’m not starting this blog to be an influencer or tell you what to do or what to buy to become a badass. I want to share my experiences over the last 3 years on traveling the world, fitness, and becoming a healthier and better me. I don’t want to get into all the details about who I am just yet. Rather, I want you to join me on this adventure as I share weekly thoughts and ideas. Fitness ...?! Well let’s start with the basics here. Ourselves! I want to put an idea in your head that may be a game changer for you as it was for me. I’m sure you’ve heard the statement “do it for you.” I know I have and let me tell you that I disagree. I personally started by accepting myself, my mistakes, my flaws, and the great parts of me. Then I identified who in my life was my support system and who I could help by being an example and inspire through changing my life. My first experience I want to share is on health. When I started to travel for work, eating healthy was no easy task. I started eating maybe once a day because “I didn’t have time.” I was on my feet all day—12 to 16 hours sometimes and traveling nonstop. I found that I wasn’t happy with myself in my personal life, but I continued to throw myself at my work and just being the best I could be at it. About 6 months into it, I started becoming more and more irritable and found that I had a short fuse at times. Looking back, I think my body was trying to get my attention to tell me “Hey there, if you don’t take care of me, you won’t be getting anymore out of me.” The only thing I had going for myself was my work.
